Lawmakers Still at Impasse Over Debt Limit

It should be clear to all what is playing out here regarding the debt ceiling debate. If Senate Democrats won't accept a weak and pathetic bill as worthless as the piece of garbage passed by the House yesterday, there is no way to appease these lunatics as they continue to unleash their economic terrorism on this country.

Boehner's plan does next to nothing to slow spending, and the idea of a balanced budget amendment may sound good but the reality of that ever really happening is remote. Even if it did, radicals like Obama and his friends could find a way around it.

No, this is not a negotiation, this is a brow beating by the liberal establishment, from Obama, the Senate and facilitated by the media. Republicans are wrong to believe there is anything they can do that would have them come out looking good. It won't happen, they don't have the courage to do what is necessary and their attempts at compromise are met with attacks and criticism from the left at how it doesn't go far enough to compromise, and angering the right for how little it does to really address this problem.

We are dealing with lunatics that will only agree to massive tax hikes and piling on the debt as fast as they can. In their world view that is how they get to their end goal, radical destruction of capitalism and the rise of their socialist utopia at best, communist hell at worst. Either way, there's no way to compromise with any of that.

The only way out of this mess is going to take a lot more than the 17 or 18 real conservatives that voted against the Boehner plan. It is going to take a conservative President, at least 60 Republicans in the Senate - led by a principled conservative and the same in the house. Massive majorities to drag the entire liberal establishment that is devouring the heart and soul of this country back toward sanity, back towards fiscal responsibility. And that my friends is a fight worth fighting.
